Matthew & Merridith Snyder

Hey there! My name’s Matthew, but you can call me Matt.

I’m a young adult minister at First Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia. I’m also a husband, dog dad, and sucker for chocolate chip cookies…

I was born and raised in Kansas, served as a missionary for several years, moved to Georgia, and grafted myself into Southern culture (well, Atlanta… which isn’t that Southern) in 2010.

What you’ll find here

Let me ask you something…

Do you have a hard time balancing the rhythms of life? Do you struggle with knowing whether you’re really where you’re supposed to be, or with what comes next? Do you find it challenging to be honest about your faith outside and even inside the church?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, this is the place for you!

If you lack clarity about how to navigate the contours of life and faith in the midst of our changing culture, then I want to empower you with the wisdom, resources, and strategies you need in order to live your life with meaning and purpose!

I draw wisdom from my 10+ years of intentional theological education, from my life experiences, as well as the stories embedded in the experiences of those around me.

The best kind of learning is the the learning that’s done together — it’s what I aim to do here.
